missingWrote a review on 05 Decpoor breakfastineffective aircon
The aircon was a joke, doing nothing in the heat. Breakfast was disappointing, too. I expected a gourmet spread but got leftovers instead. I nearly gave a good review but then realized I wasn't offered a room upgrade for my discomfort. How's that for hospitality? Absolutely unacceptable.

Being based in an ex convent overlooking the square the ambience was interesting. The local restaurants were serving excellent food and amazingly good value for money.
Hardly any English tv.

I appreciated excellent and wonderful location around 4-6 minutes away by foot from a squat stone fortress. Furthermore, the area was truly beautiful. The room was exquisite and complete with very firm beds and good basic comfort, I had everything needed.
Wi-Fi signal was very weak, made me a little nervous.

I really enjoy eating, talking around a table, hence the fact that I start with the meals. Breakfast with a varied buffet: different types of breads, cheeses and different types of sausages, freshly squeezed orange juice and freshly made homemade biscuits, fresh, quality products and close, professional attention, good presentation of the dishes, good food pairing and excellent on the palate. As for the construction itself, arrangement of furniture and decoration are attractive, catching our senses with smells, tastes, colors, creates corners where it is nice to invest your time, you feel at home, decoration gains a plus with the Christmas touch of it, taking care of details with simplicity and elegance. Spacious rooms, high ceiling with wooden beams, large windows with views of the environment. central courtyard, around which the rest of the room revolves, has a fountain and is surrounded by vegetation, with chairs, armchairs and hammocks that invite you to relax with a good read or meditation. location in the centre of the village, next to the square, is unbeatable. restaurant in the surroundings, as well as the other services, offers a good service. On Sundays there is a street market with local products and handicrafts. I also enjoyed the Christmas lights, exhibition of nativity scenes and musical repertoire of Christmas carols. I could not finish this comment without mentioning the natural pools next to the castle, result of the volcanic activity that has marked this beautiful town of Garachico so much, ceasing to occupy an important place in the local and island economy after the eruption of the early 1700s.
I missed a spa but I was told that it is being restored after the storm.

Beautifully restored historic building with a lovely atmosphere.
Though our Junior Suite provided a good size, it lacked adequate plug points, forcing us to constantly swap out devices. The bathroom toiletries were minimal, and the fixed-mounted hair dryer wasn't practical for styling. We also encountered issues with noise. One night our sleep was disrupted by a screeching cat outside.

Excellent location in historic centre of an interesting little town. Hotel itself is of historic interest but incorporates lots of modern design features. We also had an excellent, beautifully presented, dinner.

Not value for money and noisy at night

I loved the appearance of the hotel, which has been tastefully converted from its previous role as home of a local aritstocrat. The location was excellent, right in the main square of Garacico. There was a very good choice of food at breakfast and the staff were really nice
The bedrooms were too small for the price we paid
